As we celebrate Earth Day 2023, with the theme of ‘Invest in our Planet’, it’s essential to remember the importance of taking care of our planet. At Culligan, we’re committed to doing our part to protect the environment, and we’re proud to have made significant strides towards that goal.

Through our partnership with One Tree Planted, we honoured our combination with Waterlogic and planted 117,940 trees across the globe as 10 trees were planted per employee. Our employees chose a wide range of locations to plant trees, from the Amazon Rainforest to Florida’s Everglades, creating habitats for wildlife and protecting our planet’s biodiversity. When these trees mature, they will sequester over 2.5 million pounds of carbon each year, enough to power around 250 cars annually.

However, planting trees is just one piece of the puzzle when it comes to protecting our planet. At Culligan, we’re also committed to reducing single-use plastic and the amount of plastic that ends up in landfills. We wash and reuse the water bottles we provide for our bottled coolers up to 50 times before they are then recycled. We also have our mains-fed water coolers and Zip HydroTaps, which negate the need for plastic bottles entirely.

Plastic pollution is one of the most significant environmental challenges we face today, and we’re taking action to be part of the solution. By using Culligan’s hydration solutions, our customers can enjoy clean, refreshing water without contributing to the plastic waste problem.

This Earth Day, let’s all remember the importance of investing in our planet. At Culligan, we’re proud to have played a small part in global reforestation efforts through our partnership with One Tree Planted, and we’re committed to continuing to work towards a sustainable future. By reducing plastic waste and investing in reforestation efforts, we can all make a difference in protecting our planet for ourselves and the generations to come.
