Chris Smith


Managing Director

Chris joined Culligan in April 2014 as Managing Director. Chris is a qualified Chemist and has worked in the Water Industry primarily since 1990. His experience includes process design, commissioning and project management before moving into a variety of management roles.

Nick Smith


Finance Director

Nick joined Culligan in April 2014 as Finance Director. Nick has worked in the water industry since 1990 and was Finance Director for Northumbrian Lyonnaise. He is also Finance Director for Almond Engineering and Leith Investments. Nick has been a Chartered Tax Adviser since 1987.

Ian Roylance



Ian has over 40 years’ experience in the water treatment industry beginning his career in the water treatment chemicals sector before moving into the equipment sector. Ian has gained extensive experience over the many years he has worked for Culligan and now focusses on training, health and safety and quality.

Jim Baker


Business Development Director

Jim is Culligan (UK)’s Business Development Director. He joined Culligan in 2011 and has expertise in purifying water for a wide range of industries from food and drink manufacture to renewable energy. Jim also provides technical support in addition to his business development responsibilities. He is a Chartered Chemical Engineer.

Ian Walters


Business Development Engineer

Ian joined Culligan in 2014. He is a Business Development Engineer with more than 25 years’ experience in the water industry. He is skilled at providing solutions to businesses water problems. Prior to joining Culligan he worked with analysis instrumentation in a range of sectors from Milling to the Dairy industry. Ian looks after Culligan customers in the South West of the Country.

Moorthy Palanivelu


Business Development Engineer

Moorthy joined Culligan in 2014 as a Business Development Engineer. Moorthy has extensive experience in the water industry and works with new and current customers to develop water treatment solutions for their business. Moorthy is a certified Chemical Engineer.

Romy Khokhar


Business Development Engineer

Romy joined Culligan in 2014 as Business Development Engineer. Romy has extensive experience in the water industry and works with new and current customers to develop water treatment solutions for their business. Romy has a degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Jo Spencer


Business Support Manager

Jo joined Culligan in November 2006 as our Commercial Sales Supervisor before becoming our business support manager. Jo supports both the sales and technical teams in addition to processing orders, providing customer care and liaison with the service team.

James Bispham


Senior Project Engineer

James joined Culligan in 2014 after graduating with a Masters’ degree in Chemical and Environmental Engineering. His degree focussed on water treatment and he brings this training to his role as a project engineer.

John Ford


Project Manager

John joined Culligan in 2015 and is responsible for managing a wide range of water treatment projects. Initially working as a customer support engineer in the tobacco and paper industry John then developed his extensive project management skills in the water industry before joining us. John is a member of the Institute of Engineering & Technology and a registered Engineering Technician with the Engineering Council.

Connor Herbert


Warehouse Administrator

Connah joined Culligan in January 2015 and is responsible for ensuring the warehouse dispatches equipment and chemicals efficiently. He also supports the technical team with on-site installations and servicing.

Sabita Bharathan


Accounts Administrator

Sabita joined Culligan in 2006 as our Accounts Administrator. She is responsible for credit control, sales ledgers, and a range of other activities relating to the financial side of business. Sabita has many years of experience managing accounts in the hospitality sector. She has a degree in accounting from the University of Bombay and is training currently to become a member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accounts.

Maurice Beasley


Service Manager

Maurice joined Culligan in 2012. As Service Manager he has responsibility for a network of service engineers across the country delivering world-class service. He has a mechanical electrical indentured apprenticeship, an internationally recognised Engineering qualification and many years of experience managing engineering teams across a wide range of markets from naval defence to commercial laundry systems.
